§ 2.14. Eminent domain.

The city shall have the power to exercise eminent domain as provided for by the Constitution and the general laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, including all alternative procedures for condemnation provided by statutes made for the same, whether applicable otherwise to municipal corporations or to the Commonwealth or other public entities within the Commonwealth having the power of eminent domain.
